Obituary

Anthony M. Volpe, 93 of Allentown, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home. Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Allentown area resident. He was affectionately known as "Little Pop" by his grandsons and their friends. A US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean era, he retired from Haldeman Ford in Hamilton. Tony was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and gardening. He especially loved spending time with his beloved grandsons.

Son of the late Nicholas and Mary Volpe, he was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Janet M. Volpe and by his eight siblings. Tony is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Robert J. Donoher, his grandsons and their wives, Patrick Donoher, Rian and Amanda Donoher, and Kyle and Jessica Donoher; his great grandchildren, Rileigh, Remi, and Colton Donoher as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, March 17th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
