Anthony J. Cocola
Anthony J. Cocola, 79, of Allentown passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 in Ft. Myers, FL. Born in Geneva, NY, Anthony earned his Bachelor's degree from Rider College. He owned retail real estate and operated Cocola Liquors in Hamilton Square. He served as a longtime member of the Hamilton Rotary Club. After his retirement, he and his wife Carmela split time between their homes in Allentown and Ft. Myers Florida. Anthony was an avid sports fan and loved to play golf. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and most of all loved to watch his grandsons play sports.
Son of the late Helen and James Cocola, he was predeceased by his sister, Beverly Anania. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carmela Speciale Cocola; his daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Stan Sandford; his grandsons, Danny, Jake, Craig and Brett; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary Ann Cocola as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 am on Thursday, March 8th at St. John the Baptist Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anthony's name to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
