IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annette M.
Cole
November 23, 1943 – July 1, 2025
Annette Cole
(née Pasquale), 81, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 in Burlington, New Jersey.
Born on November 23, 1943, in Trenton, New Jersey, Annette remained a proud resident of the Garden State throughout her life. A daughter of Italian immigrant parents, Annette learned recipes and traditions that she carried throughout her life. Her early years were rooted in faith and family, beginning with her education at Saint Joachim's grade school and later Trenton High School, where she focused on clerical studies. These foundations guided her into a dedicated career serving with the New Jersey State Police. She worked diligently in the Payroll unit and later at the Police Academy in Sea Girt. Annette found great joy and fulfillment in her profession, forming lifelong friendships and earning deep respect from colleagues who came to know her as both capable and kind-hearted.
Annette was a devoted wife to the late Robert Alfred Cole and a loving mother to their two children. She was predeceased by both her husband and their beloved son, Robert Anthony Cole. Her cherished daughter Deborah Ann Cole and adored granddaughter Kylie Jessie Cole, both of Trenton, survive her—carrying forward the love that Annette so generously gave.
In younger years filled with energy and curiosity, Annette delighted in traveling to new places, hunting for antiques, and indulging in shopping trips that reflected her flair for discovery and beauty. As time passed, she drew comfort from the embrace of home and family. Her kitchen became the heart of that sanctuary—a place where Italian recipes passed through generations turned into meals made with devotion. Holiday, family and friend dinners became rituals of nourishment not just for the body but for the soul. Friends and neighbors alike knew they would never leave her home hungry or without a warm memory to carry with them.
Annette's love extended far beyond food—it lived in every thoughtful gesture. She especially treasured shopping for her granddaughter Kylie and finding joy in even the smallest ways to show care for those around her. Her home echoed with stories shared across coffee cups, laughter from visits long overdue, and memories cherished like heirlooms.
A woman of steadfast faith, Annette remained a devout Catholic throughout her life and was a regular parishioner of St. Mary's church in Bordentown. When health prevented regular church attendance in later years, she sustained her spiritual connection through daily prayer and recitation of the rosary—her quiet devotion offering strength through all seasons of life.
Annette's legacy is one of open arms, unwavering love for family, and a spirit grounded in generosity. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered—in every gathering around a table she once filled with warmth, every prayer whispered with reverence, and every heart that carries forward her memory. She leaves many close family members, dedicated neighbors, and friends for which she adored unconditionally.
A viewing will be held on Sunday July 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown. A morning viewing will follow on Monday July 7 at 10:00 AM with a prayer service beginning at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Bordentown Cemetery on Crosswicks Road in the St. Mary's section.
May Annette's memory bring peace and comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
