Annette Binet-Scharite, 72, of Langhorne, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Virtua Hospital in Willingboro, NJ.

Born in Manhattan, NY, Annette graduated from Trenton State College and lived in Allentown, NJ, for many years. It was there that she and her then-husband, Edward, built their home. Annette loved Allentown and took great pride in the house they built and the home she created for her family. For the last eight years of Annette’s life, she lived with her oldest daughter, Brett Ashley Davis, and son-in-law, Barry Davis. During that time, Brett Ashley was Annette’s primary caregiver, providing her with love, support, and care.

Annette worked as an accountant for the Internal Revenue Service and later served as a controller for several organizations, including the Joan Mitchell Foundation in New York City. An avid reader, she also enjoyed planting flowers and tending to her garden. Known for her hats and impeccable sense of style, Annette had a passion for fashion and Broadway, attending nearly 100 shows throughout her life. She also loved sports and enjoyed watching everything from college baseball to the professional leagues. A dedicated Mets fan, she rarely missed a game.

Above all, Annette was devoted to her family and friends. She was a loving and supportive mother and Abuela whose warmth, loyalty, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Annette was the daughter of the late Blanca and Alfredo Binet. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfredo Binet, and is survived by her brother, Ennis Binet.

She leaves behind her beloved children and their spouses: Brett Ashley and Barry Davis, Lisa and Tommy Kay, and Derek and Kendra Scharite; her grandchildren, Eric Thomas Kay III, Judah, Nora, and Jachin Scharite; and another grandchild expected soon. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Grace “GiGi” Cooper, whose friendship was a treasured part of her life.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 4, from 12-2 pm at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main Street, Allentown, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 2pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to help cover Annette’s funeral expenses. In keeping with Annette’s generous spirit and the love she shared with others, any support is deeply appreciated. Contributions may be made through the family’s GoFundMe page: gofundme - Honoring Annette’s Life and Legacy

Annette will be remembered for her love of family, her distinctive style, her many passions, and the home and memories she created for those she loved.
