Anna R. Sanford, 88, of Toms River, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. Born in Imlaystown, NJ, she resided in Freehold for many years. Anna worked as a bookkeeper for ShopRite in Freehold of several years as well as at Crossroads Baptist Church where she was a longtime member. Anna loved the Lord and would often be found reading her bible. She also loved to bake and cook.

Daughter of the late Gladys and John Ryba Sr., she was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Sanford Jr. and by her siblings, Jeanette Worthington, John Ryba Jr., and Hilton Ryba. Anna is survived by her 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Theodore and Sandra Sanford, Arthur III and Elise Sanford, Gordon and Sue Sanford, and David and Donna Sanford; her brothers and sister-in-law, Arthur and Gloria Ryba and Bill Ryba; as well as eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Monday, December 5 ^th from 10-12pm with a funeral to begin at 12pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
