Obituary

Anna Mae Apice, 97, passed away peacefully on Feb. 3, 2013 at Victoria Manor Nursing Home in Cape May.

Born on January 29, 1916, Anna Mae grew up in Philadelphia and Graduated from Kensington High School. She relocated to Jobstown, NJ in 1990 and was a parish member of St. Andrews church until moving to Victoria Commons, Cape May, NJ in 2008.

Besides being a loving wife and mother, Anna Mae spent her early life working for several large firms as a bookkeeper in Philadelphia. After moving to Jobstown, she became a member of St. Andrews Church and Renew Group and volunteered at the Springfield Elementary School library. She enjoyed music, traveling, reading, crafts and was exceptional at sketching and painting. Above all, she loved her family and friends and always tried to remember someone's special event by sending a card or note. A kind and gentle woman, Anna Mae touched everyone she met with her smile and cheerfulness.

Predeceased by her husband Eugene F., her sister Dorothy Szymczak and her brothers Chauncey and John LaRoss; she is survived by her two sons, Dennis E. and his wife Debbie of East Pointe, MI, and Raymond F. and his wife Peggy of Jobstown , NJ. She is also survived by her brother Robert  LaRoss and his wife Ellie; her sister-in-law Helen;  a sister-in-law Dorothy; her many brothers and sisters-in-law of the Apice family; her  cherished grandchildren, Vincent, Dennis, Timothy, Nicholas, Theresa and Ray 2;  her great grandchildren Matthew, Maci, Hannah and Haylee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, February 9th at St Andrews Church, 2489 Monmouth Road, Jobstown. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held from 10am until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Anna Mae's name to St. Judes Children's Hospital, PO BOX 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home Bordentown, NJ.
