Anita Foster, 84, of Columbus, New Jersey, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. A devout Catholic, Anita’s unwavering faith and deep love for God and her church were central to her life, surpassed only by the love she held for her daughters, grandchildren, and most of all, her cherished great-grandchildren. A former lunch lady for John Hydeck Elementary, Anita was a woman of many talents and joys. She found happiness in cooking meals that brought everyone together, sewing with care and creativity, and she especially loved shopping, a pastime she truly mastered and delighted in. Her warmth, generosity, and lively spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Anita was predeceased by her beloved parents, Thomas and Lorraine Cusick; her devoted husband, Patrick Foster; and her brothers, Thomas Joseph Cusick and Robert Cusick. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jacqueline and Patrick DeLorenzo of Columbus, and Susan and Robert Hess, also of Columbus. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Arlene Cusick and Doris Cusick; her grandchildren, Noelle and Sean Moore of Hamilton, Russ and Rae Chizek of Hamilton, and Lucas and Grace Chizek of Columbus; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Logan Moore, Alice Chizek, and Lucas Chizek, Jr.
A Memorial Mass for Anita will be held on Friday, February 6th, at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Bordentown. Visitation with the family will take place prior to the Mass from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Anita’s legacy of faith, family, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
