Anita Campbell, 88, of Yardville, NJ passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, for over 40 years she resided in Old Bridge, NJ where she and her husband James raised their family. Anita was a graduate of Misericordia University where she earned earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. She was a proud member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, an international sorority for female educators. A talented musician, Anita played the accordion and was an accomplished pianist. She loved music and shared her gift with many children over the years as a music teacher with Old Bridge School District.

A woman of strong faith, Anita was a member of St. Ambrose Church in Old Bridge. When she moved to Monroe Twp., in 2002, she became a member of Nativity of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church where she played the organ and sang in the choir.

In 2023, Anita moved to Yardville to live with her daughter Susan. Family was the most important thing to Anita and she adored her grandchildren, supporting them with everything they did.

Daughter of the late Mary and Gino Pisaneschi, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years, James Patrick Campell, Jr. and by her brother, Gino Pisaneschi. Anita is survived by her three children and their spouses, James P. Campbell, III and his wife Randi, Michael J. Campbell and his wife Marybeth and Susan M. Romeo; her grandchildren, Conor, Brenden, Liam, Kiersten, Mackenzie, Nylah, and Gianni; her great grandson, Chase, and by several adoring nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 4-7pm on Sunday, March 1st at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, March 2nd at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, South Brunswick, NJ.
