Andrew J. Chek, 77, of Hornerstown, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at his home. Born in Woodbridge, he was an area resident for many years. A US Navy veteran, Andrew served on a submarine during Korea. He retired from AIG and enjoyed spending time outdoors and was a loving and devoted family man.
Son of the late Stephen and Mary Chek; he is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Edna Mae Chek; his children, Kim and her husband Charlie Carney of Cream Ridge, Jake and his wife Joanne Chek of Jackson Township, Karin Crawford of Plumsted and Andrew and his wife Kimberly Chek of Belmar; eight grandchildren, Morgan and Taylor Carney, Abigail Chek, Randy, Justin and Clay Crawford and Braeden and Sydnie Chek; a great grandchild, Kyndell Crawford; two sisters, a brother and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held 10am, Monday, October 4th, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown, NJ. Friends may call, Sunday, October 3rd from 1 to 5pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J.
