Alvaro Livres, 76, of New Egypt, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at his home. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he moved to West Windsor and later to New Egypt. Al was a builder and owned Livres Construction until 2000. After he sold his business, he worked as a construction manager, building bridges, schools, and government offices.

Al was a longtime member of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and taking care of his saltwater aquarium. Above all, Al was devoted to his family, he was a loving husband and father who adored his grandsons.

Son of the late Antonio and Fernanda Livres, he was predeceased by his brother, Tony Livres. Al is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene Livres, his sons; Michael Livres and his partner, Janice Herrington and Paul Livres and his wife Delia; his grandsons, Jacob and Gavin Livres; sister and brother-in-law, Elena and Richard McBride; sister-in-law, Julie Livres as well as nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Sunday, September 22nd from 2-4pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday, September 23rd at the Assumption Church, Parish of St Isidore the Farmer, 28 Monmouth Rd., Wrightstown, NJ. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Mass cards are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made in Al's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
