Alma Ann Wasilewski, 74, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. She was born on May 4, 1952, to the late John A. and G. Rita (Balaszi) Plesnevich, who instilled in her the warmth, kindness, and compassion that she carried throughout her life and shared so naturally with everyone she met.

A graduate of Allentown High School, Alma became a licensed cosmetologist and spent her career doing what came naturally to her: caring for people. She worked at Richard’s Hair Salon in Hightstown, and later at Your Father’s Mustache Salon and Regis Salon, before finishing her career at the JCPenney Salon in Lawrenceville. For Alma, doing someone’s hair was never just a job. She took the time to listen, remembered the little details of people’s lives, and made everyone who sat in her chair feel seen and cared for. Over the years, many clients became lifelong friends because of the genuine connections she created and the kindness she offered so effortlessly.

For 34 years, Alma and her husband, Paul Wasilewski, shared a life and built a home filled with laughter, good cooking, and countless small acts of love that came so naturally to her. She raised her two daughters, Sandy Lynn Gallucci and Amber Stone Mastellone, with unconditional love, always putting their happiness before her own. From the very beginning, she embraced her sons-in-law, John C. Gallucci and Louis Mastellone, with the same love she gave her own children. She adored them and was profoundly grateful for the family they helped create.

Being a grandma was one of Alma’s greatest joys. Her grandchildren, Valerie Marie and Dominic Charles Gallucci, and Mark Kenneth and Gianna Michaela Mastellone, meant the world to her. She treasured every visit, every phone call, every holiday, and every opportunity to simply be together. She also carried the memory of her beloved grandsons, Vincent Joseph Gallucci and Michael Vincent Mastellone, whom she held in her heart always.

Alma is also survived by her sister, Janet Jacob, along with many beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends who became family.

Alma found her greatest fulfillment in caring for the people she loved. She enjoyed cooking and baking, filling her home with homemade meals and sweet treats that brought comfort and happiness to those around her. She especially cherished the holidays because they gave her the chance to have her family together, sharing laughter, stories, and the simple joy of being surrounded by the people she loved most.

She also found great satisfaction in restoring old cast iron pans, taking pride in bringing new life to something others might overlook. In many ways, that hobby reflected her spirit. She had a gift for seeing value, offering encouragement, and bringing warmth wherever she went.

Those who knew Alma will remember her gentle heart, generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome. Whether she was with family, a lifelong friend, a neighbor, or someone she had just met, she had a way of making people feel important and cared for. She gave her love freely, never expecting anything in return. The kindness she shared and the warmth she gave so generously will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In accordance with Alma’s wishes, she was cremated, and no formal services will be held. Her family asks that those who knew and loved her remember her in their own way. Share a meal with someone you love, lend a helping hand, or simply offer the kindness that came so naturally to Alma. Carry her kindness forward. That is the legacy she would be proudest of.
