Allen K. ""Ken"" Woodward, 74, of Chesterfield passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at his home.  Born in Crosswicks he was a lifetime area resident.  A U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Allen retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Corrections in1997, was a member of the Yardville VFW Post 491 and a former member of the Crosswicks Fire Company.  Allen was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Stump Jumpers and the NRA.

Son of the late Allen Woodward and Margaret Richardson, he was predeceased by his sister, Iris and brother Andrew and great nephew Jason.  Allen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Lester Robbins and Jackie and Bruce Patterson; two grandchildren, Christopher and Allen Robbins; a special nephew, Morgan Finlayson and his wife Robin and children, Joshua and Jessica; two sisters and brothers-in-law Lois and Mel Smulzenski and Arlene and John Facey and a special family friend, Carrie Walchko.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Saturday, September 24 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 6 to 9 pm and again Saturday from 10am until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crosswicks United Methodist Church, P.O.
