Allen M. Taylor Jr., 79, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday October 7, 2015 at St. Francis Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. Born in Trenton, he lived in Groveville as a young boy and resided in Allentown for the past 55 years. Allen worked at the Monmouth County Road Dept., E.W. Peterson Pallet Co. and Upper Freehold Road Dept. Allen was a 55 year life member and past Chief, from 1975-1980, at the Hope Fire Co. #1 in Allentown, where he held many other positions and was a past member of the Allentown First Aid Squad. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Predeceased by his parents Allen M Taylor, Sr. and Marie Rapciewicz and his sister, Marie Mayoros, Allen is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Helen Francis (Johnson); his children, Helen Margaret Taylor of Allentown and Fred and Holly Taylor of Mercerville; the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Charlize L. Taylor; his sister-in-law Mary Johnson Dancer of Bordentown; his "adopted" granddaughter, Roxanne VanPelt of Allentown; special nieces and nephew, Tara, Cindy and Ted VanPelt of Allentown two Godsons, Steven Dancer of Leesburg, GA and George Taylor Jr. of Lawrenceville as well as many other loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held 10am Monday October 12th at the Hope Fire Company, 82 County Rd 526, Allentown. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm at the firehouse. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Allentown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Fire Co. #1 P.O. Box 547 Allentown, NJ 08501.
