Obituary

Enfolded by the grace of God and surrounded by the love of his family, Allen "Bud" Holmes Fisher died June 30th. Born on July 21, 1926 in Stockton, NJ and raised in Ewing, he was the fourth of five children born to Everett and Julia (Allen) Fisher. A graduate of Trenton High School and student at Utah State, he served his country in the Army Air Corps, and his community as a member of the Hamilton Township Board of Education, Master of the Lawrenceville Grange, and elder of The First Presbyterian Church of Yardville.

Bud worked as a feed truck driver for the former Farmers' Cooperative Association of Trenton, as yard foreman and purchasing agent for Yardville Supply, and salesman and president of Church Brick Company in Fieldsboro until his retirement.

On September 30, 1954, he married the love of his life, Helen Marie (Karch) Fisher of Yardville. They renovated a small farm outside of Allentown, NJ, where they lived for 45 years and took deep joy in watching their family grow.

Bud was the beloved father of Allen Jr. and Christina (Evans) of Fredericksburg, VA; Nancy and Gary Bender of Columbus; Jerry Luckie of Cary, NC; Betty and Eric Anderson of Robbinsville; Cathy and Eric Peterson of Hopewell. Bud was also the devoted grandfather of Jeremy (Josie Miller), Sarah, Rebecca and Hannah Fisher; John (Mindy Valorie), Paul (Ashley Thompson), and Kate Fehn; Kevin and Andrew Luckie; Emily, Elizabeth and Robert Anderson; Molly and Douglas Peterson and great grandson Justin John Fehn.

He is also survived by his brother, John B. "Jack" and Fran Fisher of Stockton; Elmer and Anne (Karch) Smith of Hopewell; Eugene and Bernice (Karch) Sawyer of Hamilton as well as nieces and nephews too numerous to list.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at the Hamilton Square Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 6th at 11:00 with a reception to follow. Memorial donations can be made to the church of your choice.
