Alice Wheeler Seeth, 93 of Venice, FL, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015. Born on May 29, 1922 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Alice and Clyde Wheeler of Midland Park, NJ, Alice resided in Glen Rock NJ for 20 years prior to moving to Ridgewood in 1970. In 1991 Mrs. Seeth and her husband of 54 years, George Frederick Seeth moved to Venice FL. He predeceased her in June of 1999 as well as her sister, Ruth Wheeler Dilger in 2006.
A graduate of Katharine Gibbs School in New York, Mrs. Seeth worked as a secretary for several years at the US Steel Corporation in New York and later Ingersoll-Rand Company in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. She enjoyed traveling, reading and photography. She was a member of the Women's Propeller Club of the Port of NY and the Venice Yacht Club. She also held membership in the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood, NJ and an affiliate membership of Venice Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, George F. Seeth Jr. of North Haven, CT and Richard D. Seeth of Yardville; her grandchildren, James R. of North Haven, CT, Timothy G. of Brewster, MA, and Daniel and Kathryn both of Yardville; her great grandson, Jack T. as well as her nieces, Diana Hunt of Mahwah, NJ and Donna Hammer of Wyckoff, NJ.
A memorial service will be held 2pm on Saturday, June 20th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Friends may call Saturday from 1pm until the time of service.
