Alice N. MacFarlane, 106, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Clare Estates Assisted Living in Bordentown. Born in Greenock, Scotland, she had lived in Hamilton and Whiting before residing in Bordentown.  Alice was a member of the Daughters of Scotia, Lady Cameron Lodge #145 of Trenton and the Morning Star Chapter #22 O.E.S.

Wife of the late Robert W. MacFarlane, mother of the late Dorothy Burd and sister of the late Cathie, Ella and Jack, she is survived by her beloved daughters: Alice Donaldson  of Robbinsville and Catherine Olsen and her husband Ken of Hamilton, eight grandchildren: Bob Cash his wife Margaret , Pat Kleppinger her husband Tom, Cheryl Acheson, Ken Olsen his wife Mary, Kris Olsen his wife Terri, Rich Burd and Dorothy Raymond, John Burd his wife Jennifer and Cynthia Merrion and her husband Mark, 17 great grandchildren, 10 great- great grandchildren and several nieces.

Funeral Services will 11:30 am Thursday, September 27 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Ewing Cemetery. Family and friends may call Thursday morning 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Clare Estates for the comfort and care they provided for her.
