Obituary

Alexander T. Heyesey, 80, of Allentown, NJ, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Born in Trenton, Al went to the police academy and begin a career in law enforcement as a patrolman with the Hightstown Police Department. He worked with the Hightstown Borough Police Department for 11 years, earning the rank of Lieutenant. Later, Al worked as an investigator for the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, where he retired in 1996 as Chief of Prosecutors' Detectives. During his 16 years with the Prosecutor's Office, he trained in arson investigation and was a charter member of the Mercer County Arson Task Force. After his retirement from law enforcement, Al continued to use his knowledge in arson investigation as a fraud investigator for NJ Manufacturers Insurance Company and as a private investigator assisting with criminal and civil investigations.

In his free time, Al enjoyed spending time at the Horse Park of New Jersey. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending sporting events at Lafeyette College, his son's alma mater.

Predeceased by his mother, Frances "Ellie" Heyesey and by his sister, Patricia Janiszewski, Al is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marianne Heyesey; his daughter, Kelly Heyesey; his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Leanne Heyesey; his grandchildren, Taylor, Thomas, and Evelyn Heyesey; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry Janiszewski, Jacqueline and Brad Preston, and Dr. Frank and Cathy Hewins as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 4th from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, February 5th at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Allentown.
