Alexander Gola , 98, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly with his family by his side. Born in Round Valley (Hunterdon County), NJ, his parents and 6 siblings moved to Chesterfield when he was a child.  Alex worked on the farm his father established there in the 1930's, eventually running it in the 1950's until his retirement.  Alex loved his 80-plus years of living in Chesterfield and was a long-time member of the Chesterfield Fire Company, serving in various offices for many years. He also served on the Chesterfield Zoning Board and was a member of St. Mary's Church of Bordentown. Alex later moved to the Masonic Village in Burlington, where he was popular with the residents and the staff.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Elva Jane Gola, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Gola and Linda Cecil of Moorestown, his daughter, Susan Gola of Lawrenceville, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11 am Wednesday December 6 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Friends may call on the family from 9 am until the time of the service.

Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery.
