Alberta Marie Smith, 80 of Allentown, passed away Friday April 25th at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Allentown area resident. Alberta retired in 1993 from the U.S.D.A. where she worked as a secretary for many years. She was a member of St. John's Church and its 50+ Club, the Washington Twp. Senior Center and the Hamilton Twp. Senior Center. Alberta was very active in the community and enjoyed attending school programs and activities and going on bus trips with the seniors.

Wife of the late Roger F. Smith; she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger G. and Sharon Smith of Upper Freehold Twp. and Kevin G. Smith of Allentown; three grandchildren, Roger, Jr., Bryana and Brandon Smith of Upper Freehold Twp.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Bill Elliott of Florence and Eleanor and Stephen Salay of Roebling as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10am at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Rd., Allentown. Friends may call Monday evening 6:30-8:30pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
