Albert J. Hanson, 80, of Hamilton Twp., passed away peacefully Wednesday at RWJ University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Providence, RI, he had spent most of his life in the Hightstown area before moving to South Carolina 13 years ago and then returning to the area in December. Albert retired as a Regional Vice-President of The McGraw-Hill Companies after over 25 years of service.

He was also president of the Hightstown Lions Club, past Hightstown Police Commissioner, and past member of Hightstown town council. Albert also dedicated much of his time to the United Way of Greater Mercer County. He was an avid golfer who loved spending time with friends and family.

Albert is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; two daughters and their spouses, Beverly and Dr. Neil Petersen, Barbara and Vincent Serinese; a son and his wife, Brett James and Carol Hanson; seven grandchildren, Neil Petersen Jr., Kevin Petersen, Kaitlin Petersen, Timothy Serinese and his wife Lisa, Talia Serinese, Brian Hanson, and Kerri Hanson.

Funeral services for Albert will be held Saturday, 12 pm, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in East Windsor Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9 am until time of service.
