Adele Barbara (Guenther) Cubberley, 86, of Moorestown, passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016. Born in Trenton, one of six children to the late Harry and Adeline Guenther, she resided in Hamilton Square for over 50 years before moving to Jackson, NJ and then to Moorestown, NJ. She was a loving wife, caring mother and sister, and cherished grandmother and was devoted to her family. Adele was a talented seamstress, starting at the age of 12 when she made her little twin sister's clothing and doll clothes. She made all her daughter's dresses and made her own wedding gown, as well as her beautiful daughter Susan's wedding gown. She was most proud of her blue (her favorite color) coat she made as a young girl. She worked at a bridal shop in Hamilton helping young brides' gowns fit them perfectly. Adele was also a great cook and baker and enjoyed eating and sharing her culinary creations. Her favorite place to visit was the beach with her family and friends.
Adele was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Alvin Cubberley; her infant son Alvin; her beloved daughter, Susan Cubberley Smith; her brother, Joseph Guenther and her sister Barbara Behn. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosanne Adele and David Palmieri and Nancy and Owen Briggs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Lynda Cubberley and David Cubberly and Yvonne van Bochove; 12 grandchildren, David Frank and wife, Christine Palmieri, Melissa and husband, William Mandeville, Jessica and husband Samuel Colombino, Kristopher and wife, Beth Smith, Megan and husband, Jason Nowak, Laura Adele and husband, Anthony Princiotta, Julie and husband, Paul McGowan, Cori Lynn, Nicole, Collin and Brenden Cubberley and Bryan Kelly; 13 great grandchildren, Jacqueline, Amanda, Susan, Ruby, Will, Patrick, Anna Rose, Sammy, Aubrie, Kristopher Alvin, Makayla, Isabella and Noelle; her sisters, Mae Klauser and Jayne and Donald Mayer; her brother, Ernest Guenther as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 31st at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30- 10:45 am at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown.
