Obituary

Adam Joseph Dyjak, 97, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at his sister's home in Mooresville, NC. Born in New Sharon, he was an area resident for most of his life before moving to Florida to live with his niece, Marie and Kenneth Haymond. A Sergeant in the Army- First Air Force during WW II; Adam was a carpenter by trade and farmed in the New Sharon area for many years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 148 of Hightstown. He spent his winters in Summerland Key, Fl where he enjoyed to fish and entertain his family and friends. Adam was a loving and devoted family man and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Son of the late Joseph and Margaret Szynal Dyjack, he was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Adamec and Kathryn Szczepanik and a niece Kathleen Carney; Adam is survived by his sister, Anna Meshecheck of Mooresville, NC; nine nieces and nephews, Anne White of Hightstown, Edward Szczepanik of Cranbury, James Szczepanik of Hightstown, Kathryn Lamping of Bloomfield, MI, JoAnne Dolton of Pennington, Joseph Adamec of Trenton, Gary Mesh of Pennington, Marie Haymond of Palm Bay, FL and Theresa Lohrmann of Mooresville, NC as well as 18 great nieces and nephews and 5 great great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, July 9th at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Rd, Allentown. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 8-9:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Church Altar Fund, 1282 Yardville Road, Allentown NJ 08501.
