Robert A. Anthony, 77, of Whiting, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.  Born in Patterson, he retired from NJ Bell Telephone where he worked as a foreman.  Robert was also a part-time police officer with the Tullytown Police Department; was active with the Tullytown Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed fishing.

Son of the late Stanley and Florence Anthony, he was predeceased by his brother Richard Anthony.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice E. Anthony; three daughters, Alice Lynn Moore and her fiancĂ©, Jerry Davis, Susan Ann Anthony-Zamborsky and Donna Marie Mottola and her husband Al; his son, Robert A. Anthony, Jr. and his wife, Josie; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Alice, Andrew, A.J. and Katie; a great granddaughter, Ali as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Tina.

Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, February 4th at the Peppler Funeral Home 114 So. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8pm and again on Saturday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Popcorn Park Zoo, Humane Way at Lacey Rd., P.O. Box 43 Forked River, NJ 08731-0043.
